Participant Photo: Merlin feasting on Eastern Bluebird
Our very first Yard and Feederwatch Merlin struck an unfortunate Bluebird, presumably one of nine who have been frequenting our mealworm feeders daily since December. After swooping its prey up to a roost across the street, the Merlin gave us a front row seat for the next 15 minutes before leaving with its leftovers.
