Participant Photo: Molting,, out ,, with the old, in with the new…NOT BALD, JUST BOLD
Had, two Blue jays, with what seemed a black crown, nape, and almost the whole head was dark,
and even the crest.. For a while, they almost looked like a hybrid of Steller jays..

He’s just molting. My feeder Blue Jays had bald heads in summer too.
