Participant Photo: Mourning Dove

Whenever I see a Mourning Dove, he occasionally shows up with a White-winged Dove in my Aspen trees or in my FeederWatch area. I’ve only seen a single count of each of them throughout my FeedWatch 2020-2021. I really enjoy participating in the FeederWatch program because I observe birds all the time now, and I wonder if the two of them are buddies!

The sighting of a White-winged Dove in winter snow is RARE; they usually migrate to warmer climates.
