Participant Photo: Mourning Doves late morning
A small group of Mourning Doves were waiting in our birch trees to come down and eat. We were on the deck getting it ready for winter when I noticed them hanging out. They’ll often wait in the tree if they feel threatened, are digesting, or are stopping in to survey the scene.
