Participant Photo: Mystery Bird – warbler? Kinglet?

This bird looks very similar to the Ruby-Crowned Kinglet without any white or black color in the wings – only olive green on the back. It does have a pale yellow chest and under the tail. Does not have the yellow-rump at all like the warbler. It also doesn’t have the same quick movements as the Kinglet. This bird and the kinglet and warblers all eat the bark butter on the tree and on the feeders. I also have the Yellow-rumped and pine warblers here now.
Any idea as to what it is?

I saw what appears to be the same bird in St. James NC on March 17. Cannot ID it. Larger than a kinglet and sounds were two quick notes. I could hear other birds of the same species echoing the two notes back from a distance.
Hello Stephanie, thank you for reaching out. I believe the bird photographed is most likely an Orange-crowned Warbler. The bird appears to have a broken white eye ring and faint eyeline, and is generally “unremarkable” in that the back is all yellow-olive overall.
I saw a similar bird in St. James NC yesterday. Can anyone help?
