Participant Photo: Northern Cardinal female
I thought it was nifty how color-coordinated this female Cardinal was with the dry leaves of the branch on which she chose to perch. Luckily, I took the shot without taking time to widen the photo in order to capture the entire bird, because she stayed for just a second before flying off.
