Participant Photo: Northern Mockingbird
You’ll notice the mild bill deformity of this Mockingbird. Slightly malformed bills seems to be a characteristic of my local group of Mockingbirds, because I can identify at least 4 different birds by their individual bill defects. It doesn’t seem to bother them; they look healthy, they act completely normally, as far as I can tell, and they have no problem eating when they visit my feeders.
