Participant Photo: Pileated woodpecker in for breakfast
I have a pair of pileated woodpeckers that visit my lard feeder everyday. The lard is mixed with quick oats and filled in the holes in the feeder. The metal bars keep jays out, but the woodpeckers can slide up under and reach the upper holes with their long tongues.
