Participant Photo: Pretty Bird, Ugly Perch

The bright sunlight is a bit deceptive- With a frigid breeze out of the north on the morning this was captured it was just a bit too cold for me to actually go outside with camera in hand. Took shot from inside my dinning room window!

Also not a fan of bird shots with man-made objects in them but the lighting was just too good to pass up at the moment. The old piece of wood is actually the means by which a pair of feeders are hung from a large branch just above the bird. Perhaps I should replace it with a more natural looking branch because the birds cannot resist stopping here before partaking of the seeds only inches below their feet.
