Participant Photo: Red Tailed Hawk in white pine
This hawk swooped in and nestled about 17 meters off the ground in a white pine in the park behind my house. It was soon joined by three crows loudly protesting its presence there. The hawk looked on without a hint of concern. I watched it survey my feeders for a time before it flew away.
