Participant Photo: Red-tailed Hawk observing the birds feeder scene
Red-tailed Hawk observed bird feeder scene from approximately 15 m for about 3 minutes; no predation attempt. The same hawk (presumably; it looked the same) was back the next morning at the same spot feeding on a rabbit carcass; it left after about 5 minutes with the rabbit remains.
