Participant Photo: Red-wing and Varied Thrush
We see Varied Thrush in January and February here. They do not stay and must be taking a brief stop on their way north or to higher elevations. I saw one yesterday and today happened to see another (or maybe the same one) in the tree in front of the house, along with a Red-winged Blackbird.
