2 Savannah sparrows hopping around our NW Ohio, rivers edge, back yard this April. We hear their song every year but could not place it or visualize the bird.. Finally, we saw them and looked up their song. Hurrah!
Resembles a song sparrow or a white throated. I probably saw him all along and just thought it was a song sparrow.
Singing 3 short notes followed by 2 high pitched buzzy trills. The 2nd trill lower in pitch than the first. What a treat!
