Participant Photo: Scaled Quail
Scaled Quail have a fluffy white crest -nicknamed “Cottontop”- on top of their heads, and dark edges on their gray body feathers which create a SCALED LOOK. It is thought that the females have a shorter “cottontop”. Their distinct, individual behaviors & personalities are always entertaining!!!
