Participant Photo: Seeing red…

I was trying to count rapidly moving House finches when this fellow landed on the bird table, I ran to find my camera in hopes he would stick around. It seemed a little redder than my camera has rendered it, but, still it is just as odd. Had reddish smears on its back as well. Otherwise it mostly looks like a gold finch and it came with other normal looking ones, so I have to assume it is just a pigmentation issue of some sort.
