Completely taken aback to see one in the depths of winter in the UP…tried submitting, with photos, via eBird but the Michigan reviewers never accepted. It continued throughout January into spring – a true anomaly. Setup a BirdWeather PUC at end of February with numerous vocal recordings…again, never accepted by Michigan reviewers. Since, I’ve stopped reporting most birds via eBird…I guess I’ve learned to “stay in my lane”, per se, and will only report birds sporadically or via Feeder Watch.
