Participant Photo: Snoozing Early Snowy Morning Mourning Dove
It is interesting to notice that the birds that visit my feeders show no hesitation to land on the top rail of the surrounding fence in-spite of it being covered with several inches of snow. What starts out as a completely snow-covered rail soon becomes one with gaps from where birds have landed, knocked off some snow, and then flown off for a meal at one of the feeders or on the ground below. Its a fun way to take notice of the birds’ presence.
