Participant Photo: Song Sparrow

Learned how to tell these apart, mostly, from the white throated sparrows. Both sparrows searched the floor under the feeders for loose seeds. The Song sparrow was less frequent and very quick. I love listening for them in the spring. One of the local Song Sparrows often starts off his song with the first few notes of Beethoven’s 5th. A very cultured bird!
