   Wow, I love the purple and pink iridescent feathers. You captured him in just the right lighting. I’m in MD, and my grackles have blue heads, not purple, so this was neat to see.

   Hi Frank– I always thought it was all iridescence and the different lighting. I just posted my favorite Grackle picture-now realizing that there are Blue and Purple heads
