After The Peep flew to the fence he looked back and saw Magnolia, (A female mockingbird who has been watching The Peep) he looked surprised as Magnolia zipped past him. Those who have researched mockingbirds know that the males only fight off over males and females only fight off over females, so The Peep couldn’t do anything.
