Participant Photo: This is My Perch!

This shot was gotten along Salt River in Anderson
County KY recently. This little guy returned to this
perch several times letting loose a volley of calls
each time.I found it amusing that what first got my
attention was this little guy chasing a much larger
Blue Jay off this stump. I wish I could have captured
that shot! Either way, this little guy allowed me to
remain very close for about 20 minutes before he
left on presumably a feeding sortie. This particular
area over the years, has by far had the single greatest
density of Prothonotary Warblers than anywhere
else I have been in Central KY. I am always
very pleased to see them here each spring.
