Participant Photo: Upper beak missing on a healthy House Finch at my feeder
Additional images:
When I downloaded my pics and saw that this Finch had no upper beak, I did some reading about it–but I found it confusing as to whether it will grow back or not. The Finch was at my feeder and seemed healthy.

Hi, if a bird breaks its beak, I don’t believe that it is able to regrow. If you are worried about the finch, you can contact a local wildlife rehabilitator; they may be able to take it in.
Hope this helped!
I discovered I with only a third to 50% of its upper beak. Any updates on yours?
