Participant Photo: Warwick PA (USA) Hawks
The two hawks visited 10 days apart.
The Cooper’s Hawk landed in the tree while we happened to be looking out the window. It stayed there for about 20 minutes before flying away. The photograph is taken with a Canon DSLR, edited for clarity and cropped.
The Sharp-shinned Hawk landed on a statue in our backyard. It stood there for about 30 seconds. The photograph is capture from my Birdwatch camera. I have video of its visit, including sound, if it is of interest to The Cornell Lab.
