Participant Photo: White-crowned Sparrow Adult

A few White-crowned Sparrows have returned after a brief hiatus of a week or so. Our White-crowns appear to be of the gambelli subspecies.
A couple of immatures and a couple adults were scratching on the ground under the feeders these past two days. There were also fewer Mourning Doves than the large flocks we’ve been seeing.
