One grows up believing that all turkeys look just as they are depicted in “Thanksgiving” pictures, so my regret has been that I’ve never yet seen a male display his feathers in that courting or competitive way. Still this male has bronze-like iridescent feathers with amazing colors, and his wattles are significantly more deeply colored than those on the females, and he sports that conspicuous breast “beard”.
