This bird has been showing up at the feeders for at least a week. Seems to fly normally. Has a narrow stripe of bare skin over the should and down the back about an inch as well.

Bare Skin/missing Feathers

The result of a close encounter with a predator maybe? I’ve never seen this so I don’t really know. It is fortunate that food is available (feeders) to provide nutrition to heal and possibly regrow feathers.
