I had three cardinals this AM, two males and a female. One of the males and the one female had a pronounced swelling around their left eye. The swollen area was brownish grey and looked scaly. The other eye was unaffected. It looks very much like the swollen appearance of the House Finch Eye Disease. Sorry the pic is so poor, best I could do with my iPhone.
