This finch has been around and it’s getting worse. I took down feeder, now it sits on our rock window sell.

The finch definitely has finch eye disease and has been staying at our feeder puffed up so with the eye closed and resting when it can. I unfortunately have taken down the feeder and bleached and am waiting two weeks. Now it is sitting on our brick window sill. I am so sad, I want to help it.
I don’t know why these photo posts don’t have dates! This angel should be taken to a rehabber. Many *will* treat them for conjunctivitis, etc. There is an ongoing debate about whether, after treatment, they may get it again; but to me it’s always better to try. There have been studies done that show if the bird gets reinfected with it, it is often a weaker strain and not as debilitating.
