Description

tried to capture a photo of this bird without scaring it off. the right leg is red and has a growth/swollen area, so the nuthatch lands and sits unusually. it sits mostly on its belly, rather than on its legs and tilts toward the left. this is a favorite perch when it is getting sunflower seed from a tray nearby.

we saw it last week, and again this past weekend.
