Possible Avian Pox In House Finch

Female House Finch with ?avian pox?

One reply on “Possible avian pox in House Finch”

Paul Hayes says:

I have 2 Female finches showing different symptoms but both seem unusual. One appears to possibly have had a collision as her eye and area around eye shows signs of impact trauma. Upper mandible first inflamed then black then fell off the second finch has the most interesting and sad symptoms. The bottom mandible base where it connects to the face is covered in swollen and raw growths which continue around the base of Bill into face a foot injury that appears to be infected and most bizarre is a growing lump in the leg knee joint I guess you would call it. I’ve got lots of low quality video and pictures but don’t know who to reach out too.
