Description

Female type. This bird was sopping wet from the rain. Between that and the eye infection it might have been difficult to ID it but since I’ve had a female type PUFI at my feeders over the past few days (see eBird reports) it seems very likely this is the same bird. The left eye seems to be completely useless. The right eye is infected but partially open. This bird had considerable trouble landing on a perch or simply navigating around.
