the dark eyed junco is larger than normal and appears his right eye is blind with possibly a growth on it that looked like a red growth. I went out to the feeder at one point and he was on the ground just sitting there all alone under the feeder. I got within 18 inches of him and he turned his head to look but didn’t fly away and couldn’t see me out of the right eye. this is him after he came up on the deck for cracked corn.
