Sick Bird: abnormal area around the eye

This fox sparrow has been around my feeder area for about 3 weeks now and it has an abnormal area just below its left eye, as shown in the photo. The right eye area didn’t look like a normal Fox Sparrow eye either, but I was only able to get this one shot. It appears to be healthy.
