Sick Bird: Blue Jay with lame right leg

This blue jay with a lame right leg has appeared at our feeders for three years running. However, it does not seem to overwinter in our neighbourhood, as it only appears in the first weeks of November. It is quite capable of grasping the suet feeders with its one good leg, but prefers to pick up food from the ground that has been knocked down by others. Aside from this injury, it seems healthy.
