Sick Bird: Dark-eyed Junco with injured foot
This Dark-eyed Junco (a returning migrant passing through) was observed to be hopping a little awkwardly. The photo was taken on May 3 in Winnipeg, MB, although other Dark-eyed Juncos had already come through the yard, beginning in mid-March. The foot is somehow injured, but except for a bit of awkwardness, the junco did not seem very impaired and was feeding actively.
