Diseased Bird: Dead bird / Sparrow : possible Salmonella

Sparrow showed up at feeder on 2/25/21. I had not seen any sparrows for several weeks and he looked/acted like he was sick. Sparrow showed up at feeder on 2/25/21. I had not seen any sparrows for several weeks and he looked/acted like he was sick. Its symptoms and behavior were consistent with Salmonella. I contact the Vt Fish and Wildlife agency and they were not interested in collecting the dead bird for sampling.
