Sick Bird: Goldfinch with health issues.

This little guy was hanging around for 2 or 3 days….. stayed at the feeder even when the others flew away. I am not sure if he has eye disease, an injury or something else. Haven’t seen him now for about a week.

Dis you ever find out what the problem was with that bird? I just saw a Goldfinch that looked and behaved similar(ly). If it is due to a contagious disease, I need to take the feeder down. Any wisdom?

Whenever a sick bird comes to your feeder, we recommend that you remove the feeders the sick bird is using for a couple of weeks to ensure that disease is not being spread at your feeders and to give birds a chance to disperse.
