Diseased Bird: House Finch female with possible Eye Disease

This is the first sick bird we’ve seen this Feederwatch season. Except for one count week, we’ve forgone seed feeders and relied instead on the native plants in our yard to provide sustenance. We also have a birdbath in which the water is cycled daily. We do have sugar water feeders, however, and lately the finches have been perching on those to get a sweet treat. We will take them down now that we have our first sick bird.
