Diseased Bird: House finch with eye condition

This bird has been in my yard for a couple of days. It seems to be able to find food, drink and shelter. I understand this condition is contagious so would appreciate advice on how to move forward. On other bird sites, people have recommended changing tube feeders (I have two) to platform feeders and to clean out the feeders I have.
