Sick Bird: Purple Finch with eye problems

This bird was healthy and became infected. The feeders were taken down and sterilized and put back up over a week. Then I saw crusty eyed Purple Finch which is the same bird because there is only one three days after. Feeders are not filled at this time but food is spread out on dead logs to keep species at distances. It was decided to continue but for now only on the logs because other people are still feeding the birds even when we stopped. We are hoping having food will make the birds string enough to fight off the infection.
