Diseased Bird: Scruffy One

This Stellers Jay has a bald spot on the back of the neck and a very small (front to back) comb. It seems to be a loner although I have as many as six Stellers Jay at the feeder simultaneously Scuffy is not part of that group. I thought he might have been born this way or was picked on in the nest, or worse, he is has a disease. I think the bald patch is getting larger, but maybe that is my imagination.
