Diseased Bird: Summer Pox

Two House Finches, both with (probably) Avian Pox. One is pictured three times, with a severe growth on her right side, increasing in size over two weeks. After the feeders were taken down, she was still coming to the area, flying and foraging for food. Externally, her behavior did not seem compromised. There’s also a one photo of a second bird, with eye disturbance on its right side to a lesser extent. Photos taken August 2 – 20.
