I had a large blue jay visit our seed feeders twice this week. I have not gotten a picture yet. The first time I spotted it I did not believe my eyes. I grew up in Tennessee and jays were common This is a larger jay than are in TN but wow a Blue Jay in Rock Springs Wyoming. The jay we saw was the size of doves it was eatting with.

Yes, I had to pinch myself to be sure I was not imagining things. I knew the blue jay from my childhood in Wisconsin and Illinois, but I had not seen one in Utah in over 40 years here.
