Very well defined black hood with reddish brown side and some on back. Been here off and on for over a week, but wasn’t able to be certain on id until it came close enough for a pic
I was surprised to see this in the “rare bird” gallery. These are very common in our back yard, sharing a platform feeder with chickadees and wrens. I live in Seattle’s Madison Valley, about a mile west of Lake Washington.
