Description

I was out birding with a friend, originally in search of a possible snowy owl sighting. I had checked e-bird and noticed there was a snow bunting sighting out at the Spindletop Research Facility. Since we had no owl luck this morning, we decided to go check it out. Here they are! I did report this sighting on e-bird and the Audubon bird app. The snow buntings were hanging out with their cousins the lapland longspurs as well as some horned larks. Very cool!
