Description

The Yellow-bellied Sapsucker is a very unusual species for this time of year, they are normally all left by now though a very few are being seen in Quebec this year – this bird was also reported to eBird who queried it as rare for the date. Note the CAWR also in the photograph … a few years ago these were almost unheard of this far north and rarely made it through winter, now there are several that have established themselves, one in our garden.
