At first I thought is was a Junco. I had to get my binoculars to view him. Normally, we only see him for 2 days the first of April. I handed the binoculars to my husband who had only seen a Painted Bunting years ago on Bald Head Island, (NC) This was a wonderful surprise. His coloring was not as bright as the picture attached which is why I needed the binoculars for verification.
