The Pin-tailed Whydah has become common in this area. This bird does not yet have the long tail that is typical of the male.
We have them in Irvine. They hang out in our yard. They’re so much fun to watch, especially the male as he tries to impress the ladies, of which he has many…he’s such a flirt
