Earlier today I had a flock of 50+ European starlings land in my backyard. Among them were 15 or so Rusty blackbirds. I had Rusty blackbirds as fairly regular visitors to my yard last year as well. Last winter was the first time I noticed/identified them. Every time I entered them in my counts for Project Feederwatch I would get an “are you sure?!” message and was asked to confirm my identification. I just wanted to submit these pictures to make sure I am right. How rare are these birds to my portion of Missouri?! Thank you! Carrie Frillman
