Description

I observed this Varied Thrush several times Feb. 3 & 4–yesterday at 8, 10:45, 12:15-12:20, and 12:40. It would perch in the maple tree as shown in the photo, then go to the ground under either the large chunk of suet attached to the tree or under the cake suet hanging from the roof eave. I believe it is eating the little bits that drop when woodpeckers peck the suet.
